There is a public meeting tonight, Tuesday November 19, 2013 at the Manuel’s River Interpretation Centre at 7:30PM.
The plans for the new town hall in the second largest municipality in this province contain no space for a public library. When the town moves to this new building, the existing town hall, library and surrounding land will be sold. The NLLA is encouraging the public to help the CBS Library Board by speaking out. The provision of public library services is the responsibility of the provincial government. Please consider attending the public meeting or contacting your MHA to insist that a public library as a hub for literacy, family and community is essential in Conception Bay South.
